The Barnes-Merritt Family.

 

The Barnes-Merritt family have been operating this camp for 35 years. We enjoy sharing our love of water skiing with everyone who wants to learn how or who wants to become better. 

Sheila and Carey Barnes are loving grandparents who have shared the love of water skiing through generations. 

The Merritt family has 3 girls who all share the love of water sports. All 3 girls have been instructors at the camp.

The 1st Barnes family has 3 boys. They all know how to do most water sports, just like the rest of their family. They all love to come and help.

The 2nd Barnes family has 2 boys and 1 girl. They all have already learned how to water ski, and absolutely love to tube and kneeboard. 

History of Water Ski Camp



We love teaching people how to ski. Lake Lanier Water Ski Camp was started in 1985 by Kelly Barnes Merritt.  We have continuously run the camp every summer since then. We have taught well over 2,000 children and adults how to ski, wakeboard, barefoot, slalom, and kneeboard. 

 

About Water Ski Camp



Lake Lanier Water Ski Camp is located on Lake Lanier in Cumming, Georgia. We use Nautique boats. We have HO skis and Hyperlite wakeboards of all sizes and can teach young children as well as adults.
